Softie Smasher - Expansion Pack

This expansion pack is compatible with the Grid disk. All Grid Disks come with 4 indentations on the sides of the plug. The softie smasher was designed to fit it's four legs into those indentations. 

Mushrooms and leathers are notoriously difficult to frag due to the slime coat that they secrete when they feel stressed. The slime coat makes it nearly impossible to glue them to a frag plug. The long-standing solution to this has been to use a small cage with rubble rock in the bottom and allowing the coral to haphazardly attach its self randomly.

Now you don't need to wait forever for the coral to attach itself. The softie smasher allows you to anchor the soft coral to the Grid Disk plug without any glue or guesswork. Simply place the coral face up in the center of the Grid Disk plug, then gently fit the Softie Smasher over the top and continue to press the Softie Smasher down until the coral is snugly between it and the Grid disk. Now simply wait for the coral to attach to the plug before removing the Softie Smasher.

The Softie smasher was designed to securely hold the soft coral to the plug while still allowing ample light, flow, and visibility to maintain it's health during the process of attaching to the Grid Disk.

Each package comes with 10 Softie smashers. As an added bonus, we include a small 2"x2" round shroom box for your convenience when fragging or transitioning your soft corals to your grid disks.
